Six New 2017 Football Prospects (1/29/17)…

As we rapidly approach National Signing Day let us add six new class of 2017 prospects that we have identified.

Liam Reddy – St. Mary’s High School – T / DT – Uncommitted – Leddy is a 6’3″ and 275 pound lineman who dominated on both offense and on defense. Reddy plays very physically and runs extremely well for an offensive tackle and he frequently pulls to support the running game. On defense he is a tough interior lineman who is difficult to run against and he always plays to the whistle. Helped St. Mary’s get to the Division 3A Super Bowl this past season and was a CCL All Star.

Josh Simon – Malden High School – DB / WR – Uncommitted – Simon stands 5’11” and 170 pounds and was a very fast and athletic player on both sides of the football. He is a shifty runner with the ball on offense and played as a very disciplined safety on defense. Probably a cornerback or safety at the next level as his speed and quickness should translate well to those positions. Simon was a GBL All Star and recently received his first offer from AIC.

Asong Aminmentse – Milford High School – SS / OLB – Uncommitted –  Aminmentse goes 5’7″ and 180 pounds but plays much bigger being an aggressive hybrid linebacker / defensive back for Milford. Fast enough to drop into coverage or to blitz the quarterback from the outside edge. Aminmentse was a Hockomock League All Star and he will choose between Wagner and Bentley as to where he will play his college football.

Gerell Boyce – Everett High School – DE / TE – Uncommitted – Boyce stands 6’3″ and 250 pounds and was a disruptive defensive end for the Division 1 State Champions. Plays fast and physical and reportedly runs a sub five forty yard dash. Very tough in defending the run as he seals the edge well and is difficult to contain and gets after the quarterback in passing situations. Boyce also plays basketball for Everett along with his bother Ghared who is a top basketball prospect. Boyce is being looked at by colleges and will find a place to play next year.

Joe Masterson – St. John’s Prep – SS / RB – Uncommitted – Masterson is 5’9″ and 180 pounds but plays with an edge and has top line speed. A very fluid running back but an even better defensive back who has good hands and is quick enough to stay with receivers. Reads plays very well and brings a very physical game for someone his size. Was a Catholic Conference All Star and should find a place to play in college.

Paccem Moise – Malden High School – CB / FS – Uncommitted – Moise has good size for a cornerback at 6’1″ and 180 pounds but is also very fast running a reported sub 4.5 forty yard dash. Matches up well with opposing receivers in single coverage and provides strong support stopping the opponent’s running game.
