MIAA Top 25 Hockey Poll – Week 7 (1/31/17)…

  1. Pope Francis High School  (11-1-1) – Cam Peritz, Jacob King and Trevor Crawford have a huge week ahead with BC High and Hingham on the schedule.
  2. Malden Catholic High School (7-1-3) Colin Nestor and Malden Catholic took care of out of state Fairfield Prep, Braintree and Catholic Memorial all in one week so it was a pretty good week to be a Lancer.
  3. Austin Preparatory School  (11-0-2) – JJ Harding and the Cougars took care of Arlington Catholic this past weekend.
  4. Catholic Memorial High School  (8-2-2)- CM rebounded from a hard fought 1-0 loss to Malden Catholic by beating La Salle and showed they can play against the top teams in the state.
  5. Walpole High School  (14-0-1) – The Rebels played to a tie against a good skating Framingham team and then beat a good Wellesley team.
  6. Arlington High School  (11-1-1) – Peter Scheschareg and Kevin Ouellette look forward to a showdown against BC High on February 6th.
  7. Central Catholic High School  (9-2-3) – An offensive outburst led to nine goals in their win over Hingham.
  8. Boston College High School  (7-1-4) – Thomas Kramer and company look to have a strong week against some top competition.
  9. Marshfield High School  (10-1-2) – With Andrew Fithian, Jack Murphy and Aidan Connolly playing well the Rams are in very good shape.
  10. Hingham High School  (11-2-2) -Little time to recoup as Pope Francis is on the horizon for the Harbormen.
  11. Saint John’s Preparatory School  (5-5-2) –Ryan Farrow and Joe Bevere have the Eagles looking up after a two win week.
  12. Saint Mary’s Lynn High School (8-4-1) – The Spartans and Mike Zampanti travel to face Arlington Catholic on Wednesday.
  13. Braintree High School  (9-3-1) -Rebounding from a close loss will be key with a game versus Framingham on the horizon.
  14. Xaverian Brothers High School  (5-5-3) – Jared Grier and Egor Borschev look to get back to their winning ways with a week off from Catholic Conference play.
  15. Shrewsbury High School  (12-0-0) – Matt Ward and the Colonials will look to remain unbeaten this season.
  16. Scituate High School  (12-1-1) –Liam Walsh looks to continue his strong play leading the Sailors this season.
  17. Andover High School  (10-4-0) – Zach Laramie and the Warriors will look to rebound from a tough week of play.
  18. Framingham High School  (7-3-3) – The Flyers almost knocked off undefeated Walpole but left with a 2-2 tie after Joe McInnis scored in the third period.
  19. Burlington High School  (8-4-1) – Strong offensive play from Riley Gilberg and Drew Metzdorf look to propel the Red Devils on an end of season run.
  20. Arlington Catholic High School  (6-4-1)- The Cougars need to get back on the winning track after a loss to Austin Prep.
  21. Reading High School  (8-5-1) – Kevin and Mike Tobin exploded in a two win week for the Rockets.
  22. Weymouth High School  (5-3-3) – Cam Gibbs and the Wildcats look forward to Marshfield in a showdown on February 6th.
  23. Franklin High School (9-4-0) – Brendan O’Reilly, Thomas Sicchio and James Kilroe look to pick up end of season momentum after a two win week.
  24. Waltham High School  (8-4-3) – Adam Becker and the Hawks have Westford Academy and Acton-Boxboro this week.
  25. North Reading High School  (11-0-1)- Joshua Zelikman and Matthew Corrieri continue to lead the Hornets on the season.
