MIAA Top 25 Hockey Poll – Week 11 (2/28/17)…

 

  1. Malden Catholic High School  (13-4-3) – The Lancers are led by Brendan Maloney and Tom Albert will look to defend their Super 8 crown.
  2. Boston College High School (14-2-4) – Thomas Kramer and Luke Garrity look to bring the Super 8 title to Morrissey Boulevard.
  3. Pope Francis High School (16-4-1) – A resurgent Cardinal team led by Cam Peritz and Zack Roncarati have hopes high in Springfield.
  4. Arlington High School (18-2-2) – The Spy Ponders played one of the toughest schedules and now look to prove a public team can compete for the state title.
  5. Hingham High School (16-4-2) – The Harbormen played a very strong schedule and will face-off versus another public power in Arlington.
  6. Central Catholic High School (14-5-3) – The Raiders and Sean Brown look to continue on recent success.
  7. Walpole High School (21-0-1) – Cam Martin plays the hero scoring off a faceoff in overtime against CM.
  8. Marshfield High School (18-2-2) – Aidan Connolly, Andrew Fithian and goalie Nick Young knocked off Austin Prep to stay in the tournament.
  9. Austin Preparatory High School (16-2-3) – The Cougars now will turn their focus to the Division 1 state tournament.
  10. Catholic Memorial High School  (14-3-2)  – Harry Morrill and the Knights will now be a top seed in the Division 1 tournament.
  11. Saint John’s Preparatory School  (11-7-2) – The Eagles are one of the hottest teams in the state and may be the favorite to come out of Dvision 1 North.
  12. Burlington High School  (16-4-2) – Drew Metzdorf, Sean Casey and Jeff Russo will look to make a strong postseason run.
  13. Shrewsbury High School  (19-0-1) – The Colonials are the odds on favorite in Division 3.
  14. Framingham High School  (12-6-4) – The Flyers downed Xaverian but dropped a tough game to Burlington.
  15. Xaverian Brothers High School  (10-7-3) – The Hawks look to have a deep run in the D1 tournament after being bounced in the first round last year.
  16. Andover High School  (13-5-2) – Zach Laramie and Andover could prove to be a very tough out in the Division 1 tournament.
  17. Scituate High School  (18-2-1) – Cam Francis and Liam Walsh will look to make some noise for the Sailors.
  18. Braintree High School  (12-6-2) – The Wamps will look for a deep postseason run building off a solid regular season.
  19. Saint Mary’s Lynn High School  (13-7-2) – The Spartans will look to get back on a winning track after sputtering down the stretch.
  20. Medway High School  (15-3-3) – The Mustangs finished the season off with a win and a tie and they will look to continue to play solid hockey.
  21. Wellesley High School (14-5-1) – The Raiders need to continue playing at the top of their game to advance.
  22. Weymouth High School (8-7-3) – Dickie Coyle leads the Wildcats into the playoffs.
  23. Lincoln Sudbury High School (12-5-3) – Ryan Rogers and Owen Toland will look to make a name for themselves in the playoffs.
  24. Franklin High School (13-8-1) – The Panthers are set to defend their Division 1 state crown entering the playoffs.
  25. Reading High School (12-8-1) – The Rockets have a chance to show their true potential in the playoffs.
