Mass HS Class Of 2018 – 5 More Football Prospects (3/31/17)…

Let’s take a look at five more class of 2018 football prospects as the spring recruiting cycle starts to pick up some speed. As always these are in no particular order as we will continue to rank the class at a later date.

Hudl Film

Mike Sullivan – Noble and Greenough School – OL – At 6’6’’ and 308 pounds Sullivan is a very good athlete for his size running a reported 5.22 forty yard dash. Sullivan displays good footwork along with very strong arms and hands that allow him to extend his reach. Played guard and tackle but given his size would likely project as an offensive tackle. Sullivan recently visited Notre Dame, Michigan State and Western Michigan as interest in him has picked up.

Jonathan Pace – Saint Sebastian’s School – DE/T – Pace stands 6’5’’ and has a great frame for a defensive end / offensive tackle with a good motor allowing him to push through defenders to make plays. Pace runs well, has a good first step and has plenty of room to add weight on his frame. Pace has received an offer from Army while also receiving interest from Michigan and other FBS schools.

Jailen Branch – Milton Academy – DB/WR – Branch is a 5’10’’ and 170 pound cornerback with very good speed and coverage skills. Branch will look to have an increased role on offense as the Mustangs graduate Mike Silva but look for Branch to be one of the best cornerbacks in the ISL next fall. Branch recently visited Harvard and he should receive more FCS interest as the recruiting process progresses.

Adam Deese – Belmont High School – OLB/FB – Deese stands 6’4’’ and 228 pounds and shows good defensive pursuit and long arms that allow him to get after ball carriers. Deese wraps up well and plays physically on defense but also as a blocking fullback. Deese would be an interesting project as a hand in the dirt defensive end pass rusher as he potentially has the size and speed to play on the defensive line.

Nick Salmon – Durfee / Tilton – QB / DB / ATH –Salmon is big at 6’2″ and 200 pounds but also has elite speed running a reported 4.58 forty yard dash. Played on both sides of the ball as an athletic quarterback who has game breaking speed and as a big defensive back who is physical and can make plays. Also returned kicks on special teams. Salmon lined up at running back and wide receiver on offense as well. An athletic playmaker who also plays basketball at Durfee and could be a top safety and special teams player in college. Salmon joins the class of 2018 as he will play at Tilton School in New Hampshire next year.
