Mass High School Football – Week 5 Poll and Notes (10/5/17)…

  1. Everett High School (3-0) – A rare bye week for Everett as juniors Mike Sainristil and Lewis Cine, along with senior Isaiah Likely, all visited Penn State. Very surprised Likely has yet to receive Power 5 offers as a 6’4″ and 225 pound wide receiver who is very difficult to match up against.
  2. BC High (4-0) – Will Bowen, Danny Abraham and Bobby DeMeo lead an explosive offense that averages more than thirty points per game this season.
  3. St. John’s Shrewsbury (4-0) – Maybe the toughest game left on their regular season schedule this week as they play a very good and undefeated Shrewsbury team.
  4. Central Catholic High School (4-0) – Played well on both sides of the ball in their dominating 44-14 win against Billerica. The Division 1 North playoffs are going to be great.
  5. Marshfield High School (3-1) – Still have to travel to play Dennis-Yarmouth on October 13th but not sure how many teams can actually give the Rams a competitive game. Sophomore Casey Phinney is quickly becoming one of the top players in the Mass class of 2020.
  6. Lexington High School (4-0) – Very hard to beat a Minutemen team that averages almost forty points per game on offense.
  7. Bridgewater-Raynham High School (3-1) – Bryce Shaw and the B-R defense has held up as they wait for star running back Devante Greaves to return from injury.
  8. St. John’s Prep (2-2) – Move to 2-2 with a big win over Malden Catholic and they now go on the road to play a Catholic Memorial team that has been playing much better with back to back wins over Brockton and Xaverian Brothers.
  9. Xaverian Brothers High School (1-3) – Could be another close, low scoring game against Brockton this week as the Hawks offense has struggled.
  10. Mashpee High School (4-0) – If Mashpee and Nantucket can win out this week a clash of unbeaten teams will take place on October 13th.
  11. King Philip High School (4-0) – Remain unbeaten with their big comeback win over Mansfield.
  12. Marblehead High School (4-0) – Another unbeaten team with a very talented senior class that is on a mission this year.
  13. Duxbury High School (3-1) – Duxbury seems to have integrated new skill players along with a seasoned offensive line and they now play a solid Silver Lake team this Friday night.
  14. Falmouth High School (3-1) – A nice bounce back win over Sandwich and now they face a very good Dennis-Yarmouth team on Friday night.
  15. North Attleboro (3-1) – Two very tough games coming up with Foxboro tomorrow night and on the road at Stoughton next Friday night.
  16. Natick High School (4-0) – Started out their season with excellent defense but they are now showing their offense can put points on the board as well and they now travel to play always tough Walpole tomorrow night.
  17. Mansfield High School (3-1) – Another Hockomock League team in this week’s rankings that will look to bounce back from a tough loss to King Philip.
  18. Lincoln-Sudbury High School (4-0) – Another unbeaten team that is rolling right now.
  19. North Andover High School (4-0) – Playing very well at this point in the season but face an always dangerous Billerica team tomorrow night.
  20. Foxboro High School (3-1) – A huge game at North Attleboro tomorrow night after surviving in overtime against Canton.
  21. Reading High School (3-1) – Bounced back from their loss to Lexington by beating a good Belmont team.
  22. Tewksbury High School (3-1) – Responded to their loss to North Andover with a win over Dracut.
  23. Dennis-Yarmouth High School (4-0) – Big battle on the Cape as D-Y will host Falmouth tomorrow night.
  24. Stoughton High School (3-1) -Couple of tough road games coming up with Canton tomorrow night and North Attleboro next week.
  25. Lowell High School (4-0) – The high scoring Lowell offense beat Andover 51-48 but they now face top ranked Everett tomorrow night.

  1. Likely still a Malden boy recruited by Everett .But this page and every other sports blog does nothing to look into it .Keep believing that they are coaching gods instead of looking at what really goes on with Everett football

    1. YOU ARE FOS !!!!!!!!!
Likely was living in Everett while playing for Malden……
If you paid attention to your program instead of Everett all the time you might win !

      1. Funny how he happens to live in one of the Everett coaches houses , or is it one of the principals.Just like Jordan M. didn’t live in Peabody. Has nothing to with winning its about sportsmanship and playing by the rules. Likely is a beast, and a really nice kid.

        1. He lives where his mother moved to……..
Why don’t you deal in facts instead of BS !!!!!!
Is it Everett’s fault Malden QB Martino left Malden also ?????
You call Likely a real nice kid in one breath and a cheater in the other breath….
You are in need of help !!!!!!

          1. Likely isn’t the one whos fault it is ,he is doing what is best for him I would never put the blame on him. The coaching staff is setting the example here not the players. Martino leaving Malden has nothing to do with it, I think he went out of state not the next city over.

  2. Likely is a BEAST……..
Speed, power, great hands and can go up and get the ball…….
Teams are missing the boat on him !
