ISL Football Rankings – Week 4 (10/9/17)…

Week three of ISL football play saw the top two ranked teams battle it out with Lawrence Academy prevailing with a late touchdown to beat Governor’s Academy by a score of 27-20. Let’s take a look at the updated ISL power rankings:

  1. Lawrence Academy – (3-0) – Freshman Tony Muse led the Lawrence Academy rushing attack and URI bound Thomas Greaney had the game clinching interception to seal the victory. We would love to see this Lawrence Academy team play an end of season game against top ranked Everett from the MIAA. Next up: at St. Mark’s.
  2. Governor’s Academy – (2-1) – Multi-sport athlete and dynamic playmaker Quin Stott scored a touchdown on the first play of the game and Governor’s led 14-13 at the half but Lawrence Academy made more plays in the second half for the comeback victory. Next up: at (8) St. Sebastian’s.
  3. BB&N – (2-1) – Played a very difficult schedule so far with a loss to top ranked Lawrence Academy and solid wins over 4th ranked Belmont Hill and 8th ranked St. Sebastian’s. Next up: (10) Tabor Academy.
  4. Belmont Hill – (2-1) – The Belmont Hill offense was firing on all cylinders in their big 42-12 win on the road at Tabor Academy. Next up: at (5) Milton Academy.
  5. Milton Academy – (2-1) – Sophomore Kalel Mullings had a big game as Milton Academy beat Roxbury Latin 42-6. The Mustangs now face a huge home game with Belmont Hill coming up this Saturday. Next up: (4) Belmont Hill.
  6. Noble and Greenough – (2-1) – Jason Medeiros led the way on both offense and defense as Nobles beat Groton 42-16. Next up: at Roxbury Latin.
  7. Brooks School – (2-1) – The Brooks offense took care of business in their big 51-21 win over St. George’s. Next up: (9) Thayer Academy.
  8. St. Sebastian’s – (1-2) – A very talented team that has come up just short against 5th ranked Milton Academy and now 3rd ranked BB&N. It doesn’t get any easier this week as they play 2nd ranked Governor’s Academy. Next up: (2) Governor’s Academy.
  9. Thayer Academy – (3-0) – Stay perfect on the season at 3-0 but now have to play on the road as they take on Brooks School this coming weekend. Next up: at (7) Brooks School.
  10. Tabor Academy – (1-2) – Lost to Belmont Hill and they now have to regroup as they travel to play third ranked BB&N. Next up: at (3) BB&N.
